Its principle is to acquire a small sample of smoke from the chimney or exhaust funnel, then the smoke and dust is captured and collected for quantitative analysis to obtain emission concentration value smoke and dust. It is a direct measurement method.
Weighing Method is a direct dust concentration measurement method. According to its definition, the dust concentration is obtained by dividing the weight of dust trapped on the filter membrane by the volume of gas flowing through in the same time. Except for weighing method, all other dust concentration measurement methods are indirect. Though the weighing method reflects the definition of dust concentration, its operation is offline and discontinued, and repeated manual operation also generates errors. The Micro-charge Dust Detector can continuously and automatically detect the dust flow rate and concentration in a real- time and online manner. It does not need filter membrane and other consumables, and it only needs very simple maintenance.

Can Tang’An Product Measure Oil-Mist Concentration?Yes, Tang’An product can measure oil-mist concentration.As the oil droplets adhere to the surface of the probe, transfer current will not be generated when the new oil droplets collides with the probe. However, we measure the flow and concentration of dust by measuring the induced current. In this case, we add a layer of Teflon coating to the common metal probe to maintain the consistency of the signal and to easily clean the sensor.

Do the Sensors Need Regular Cleaning?The probe and insulation of the sensor need regular inspection to determine whether cleaning is required or how often it is required. When using a dust collector, the sensor should also be checked after severe filter leakage or other workflow accidents. Pay attention to the following details when checking the probe:
★Clean the deposit on the probe regularly to avoid material deposits on the leading edge of the probe. Deposits on the leading edge of the probe does not usually occur, and it’s alright if deposits occur on the trailing edge.

Following analysis is made with regard to this issue.(1)Working Principle of Electrostatic PrecipitatorThe principle of electrostatic precipitator uses high-voltage electric field to ionize the flue gas, and the charged dust in the air-flow is separated from the air-flow under the action of an electric field. The negative electrode is made of metal wires of different cross-section shapes, which is called discharge electrode. The positive electrode is made of different metal plates with different geometries, which is called dust-collecting electrode.The performance of electrostatic precipitator (ESP) is affected by three factors: dust properties, equipment structure and flue gas velocity. The specific resistance of dust is an indicator to evaluate its conductivity, which has a direct influence on the dust-removal efficiency. When the specific resistance is too low, it is difficult to keep the dust particles on the collecting electrode, resulting in the return of dust particles into the air-flow. If the specific resistance is too high, it is difficult to release the dust charge reaching the dust-collecting electrode, and the voltage gradient between the dust layers will cause phenomenon of partial breakdown and discharge. These conditions will cause the reduction of dust removal efficiency.The power supply of electrostatic precipitator is composed of control box, step-up transformer and rectifier. The output voltage of the power supply also has a great influence on the dust removal efficiency; therefore, the operation voltage of electrostatic precipitator should be kept between 40-75kv, or even above100kV.(2)Application and Effect of ATB Series Products in Electrostatic PrecipitatorFirstly, it can provide the signals that reflect the change of dust concentration to the control system of electrostatic precipitator, then the control system adjusts the out-put voltage basing on the provided signal to save energy.Secondly, it identifies in advance the abnormal operation of the dust collector. It also judges the faults of the dust collector and provides ample time for the maintenance staff to examine and repair the equipment before production accident occurs.
